Chris Colfer's birthday project

I feel like such an ass for just posting this now, and not a few days ago, but stuff happens.

I’ve had much emotional turmoil over this, but I’ve decided that with everything going on in my life, I will not be able to make the absolute best Chris Colfer Birthday Video possible. As a result, I’m screening new candidates who would like to take over this position!

What the job entails:

• Organizing and distributing lines (Note: Lines were previously full, but months later, many of those who reserved lines are unavailable for contact.  As a result, part of the job would be to figure out who is able to keep their lines and which lines should be reopened.)
• Setting new deadlines.
• Managing the ccvideobdayproject Gmail account. (A few submissions are already in the inbox. If selected, account information will be given.)
• Fielding any questions and making regular posts about the project on this Tumblr.
• Editing together the final video cut with everyone’s submissions. 
• Putting the three videos together on a DVD with an original artwork DVD menu.
• Getting aforementioned DVD to Chris Colfer (Ideally at his book signing).

okay so: some of you may have seen my earlier post regarding a scrapbook portion of the project so I figured I’d make another post with the details/reminding you all of it.

since we’re not sure when the boy is going to be doing his book tour, the deadline is TBA. I’m accepting both mailed and emailed letters/pictures/what have you. (basically, whichever your preference.)

I’ve been trying to contact those who have reserved lines and have yet to submit their video, however, many have changed their urls or do not have accessible ask boxes. 

If you have any way to get in touch with these people, please do so and tell them to let us know if they still want to submit a video.

Hi, it’s Harmony! I’m so sorry it’s been so dead around here, but I’m taking the spring off of work and extra curriculars so this video project is going to be really kicking off come the end of our school musical! 

HOWEVER:

I set deadlines for the AIWNSG and For Good videos and have only received 4 video submissions! I plan to send out some asks to the people who said they would submit and have not yet, but if I get no response within the next few weeks, lines will be reopened!

Chris’s birthday is thankfully still months away, but these videos, especially the For Good video will take a while to edit, and I want it to look as professional as humanly possible. 

PLEASE submit videos as soon as possible! I want to finish AIWNSG by the middle of April! 

For the video, please remember:

1) Record your singing voice acapella to the instrumental version of the song found here. Please avoid white noise as much as possible.

2) Include a small caption that you would like to appear during your portion of the video. (You may include your name, age, location, etc.)

3) Please also include your picture of yourself with a Happy Birthday sign to be included in the beginning of the video. 

4) Email your submission to ccvideobdayproject@gmail.com and include your tumblr URL so that we may cross you off the list.

5) Title the video with your tumblr URL, and have the video in .AVI or .MOV format!

If there are any questions or issues making the due dates, just let me know! Post in the ask box, or post in my personal ask box for a more immediate reply.

If you have already emailed a video and did not add a caption, just shoot me another email noting just that. 

I will hopefully check the email every Sunday, and you will receive a reply once I receive your submission. If there are any issues or you need a quicker response, just post in my personal ask box.

I can’t wait to see everyone’s submission! I’m sure this video will be amazing!
